मंडई

In times of malls and organized retail stores the old market places or more popularly known as मंडई or सब्ज़ी मंडी, are losing their businesses. Its difficult for small time sellers of vegetables in these market places to compete with corporate giants in terms of the shopping experience and convenience. But there is one thing in which the organized retail stores cannot compete with people from a  सब्ज़ी मंडी  is the quality of vegetables. Sellers from such markets usually deal with small quantities, hence the freshness of vegetables is assured. 

Here is a small attempt to capture a typical morning life at the famous महात्मा फुले मंडई , Pune.
