Kaas 2012

Kaas plateau near Satara city of Maharashtra is a our very own valley of flowers. Each year many exotic flowers bloom-in just after the monsoons. The entire region gets transferred into a paradise like setting with huge carpets of  many exotic flowers. Kaas is a very delicate ecology and the flowers are very sensitive to even slight changes in weather and environment. So care must be taken to preserve the natural heritage of this land, so that each year more and more  flowers make their way and build this paradise for us.

Kaas Plateau - Flower Paradise

Kaas is a plateau at an altitude of 3500ft from the mean sea level, at a distance of around 25kms from the city of Satara. It is known for the numerous varieties of flowers that bloom here in the post monsoon season. Along with the variety of flowers you get to see at this place the drive to from the city of Satara is also very picturesque. You really feel blessed witnessing such a spectacle where nature laughs in the form of flowers. A must visit for every nature lover.
